I'm looking for more information on a theatre that most people don't belive ever existed.

Mann Theatres Fox Triplex
6757 Airport Blvd
Austin TX

I have been able to find a newspaper clipping from the late 1970s with an ad for this location from the Austin History Museum. I do not know when this theatre openned or closed. It is not even listed in the Austin listings on here. I do know Mann Theatres opened a second theatre, in south Austin in the late 70s.

Mann Westgate 3
4608 Westgate Blvd
Austin TX

I first heard of the Fox when I was working at the Westgate, but like I said, I know little more it's existance. Can anyone help?

Looking at that picture of the auditorium just makes me hate stadium theatres even more. They just don't make them like that anymore. Imagine that curtain opening up up revealing the 20th Century Fox logo followed by Lucasfilm in the old plain blue font...

Pictures like that make me drooooooool!

I long for the day when theatre owners agree to follow the Arclight plan (keep the garganutuan single screener as is, multiplex behind or around it). That'll keep us from losing gems such as this one.
