The old Melvin Theater on Chippewa in St. Louis has come back to life. It is currently operating as a Christian concert venue but, according to a Facebook post, will start showing movies again (for $2 a ticket) in the fall!!! Here's the link to the Facebook page:

I knew the Melvin had been in use as a church, but the concert venue angle just happened either earlier this year or late last year. They are also saying they will have a Joplin Benefit Concert on June 25...which is tomorrow!!!! But I'm amazed they will actually try to show movies again.
