I just checked the Galaxy Theaters site and confirmed that they have moved over to the former AMC Narrows 8. As far as I know, the Tacoma Central 6 is now vacant.

What's the problem with Tacoma Central? It's in a very visible location, only a few minutes from University of Puget Sound...yet it struggles.
Here's a pic of what I think is auditorium #2. Can somebody verify?

Would make a good discount house wouldn't it? Tacoma only has the the historic Blue Mouse single screener in North Tacoma so the time might be right. The Starplex Gateway 8 ($2) is reportedly doing well in Federal Way. Why not give it a shot in Tacoma?

The Tacoma Central 6 would make a GREAT discount house. As its name implies, it is centrally located and can draw from a large customer base including the populations housed at McChord AFB and Fort Lewis.
But if the rent is too high, it isn't going to happen unless the landlord wises up in this tough economy and lowers the rent to bring in an operator (hey, Regency, are you reading this?).
