The Alameda Theatre in Alameda, California reopened on May 21, 2008. I have seen photos of it on Flickr.com

The old Art Deco theater has been restored and they added a 7 screen addition to the theater. I guess a 7 screen addition is better than carving up the main auditorium. The main auditorium and lobby has been restored with very nice art deco decor. The facade was also restored, however a Pepsi truck recently smashed into the corner of the neon marquee and damaged it.
