New Zealands oldest surviving cinema is about to celebrate 108 years of screening films. It is located in the Central Otago town of Roxburgh, New Zealand. It opened in October 1898. Originally it seated 450 persons, but now seats 258.

This cinema is now under threat of closure as the current operator has indicated they are planning to pull out. No new operator has yet been found.
