Yesterday was the last day of business for the Regal Cinemas "Gig Harbor 3" in Gig Harbor, Washington. Regal has officially closed it.

I wonder why they closed it in advance of the new theatre opening. I would think they could have held on until at least then.

I heard they were tiny shoeboxes. I believe it opened in late 1982.

I've 'heard' that the building has been sold and will be torn down to make office buildings.

It's been years (decades?) since I've set foot in the place. Good riddance as you'll never find such a nondescript theater as this one. The new Galaxy 10 plex will be a vast improvement, even if it will have the dreaded stadium seating and digital projection.
