Effective September 30, 2005. The Fifth Avenue Cinemas in Vancouver is no longer owned by Alliance Atlantis. It has been bought by Festival Cinemas of Vancouver.
Festival also operate the Park Theatre.

Didn't it start out that way, when the Fifth Avenue opened?

It opened in 1996 under the aegis of Leonard Schein and Festival Theatres, so the re-acquisition is a return to the original status quo with the partnership of the Park Theatre included.
