Dallas Business Journal - by Lauren D'Avolio Staff Writer
A $55 million shopping center in the Fort Worth suburb of Burleson will usher in North Texas' newest brand of movie theater.
Big Spring-based Premiere Cinemas will anchor the 250,000-square-foot Burleson Commons, at State Highway 174 and F.M. 731, south of Fort Worth. Other confirmed tenants include Peter Piper Pizza, The Little Gym, WineStyles and Marble Slab Creamery. The center is scheduled to be fully open by March 2009.
"It's a great site. It's a growth area," said Carey Webb, vice president of real estate for Peoria, Ill.-based Cullinan Properties Ltd., which owns Burleson Commons.
Gary Moore, CEO of Premiere Cinemas, said his company has nine theaters in development, but he declined to say whether any others are slated for North Texas.
