From David Brooks:
quote:
This was a small local theater that was closed when I moved to this area in 1990. It has been a night club (several times) and now a Chinese restaurant. With this latest incarnation, the new front was added – the columns are all new. I do not know what the original name was and people who have lived here a long time do remember it as being a neighborhood second run theater but do not remember the name either.

I grew up going to movies in this theater back in the 70's. It was one of the only theaters in the immediate area - The closest others I remember attending were a pair outside Almeda Mall and then Gulfgate.

Anyway, I went over and over this last night and think it was simply called the "Clear Lake Theater". It's located on El Camino Real not far from NASA. Somewhere I have an old copy of the Daily Citizen (newspaper) that should have the name and showtimes but I haven't found it.
