Hey folks...I'm going to Hawaii (the island of Oahu to be exact) next week. In addition to all the sightseeing, I plan to check out a movie.

Anyone have any recommendations about Hawaiian theatres???

Consolidated's flagship, the Ward 16 near Waikiki is supposed to be pretty good. Another possibility is Signature's Dole Cannery 18, in Iwilei. The movie palaces are all gone, except for the Hawaii Theatre Center in downtown Honolulu, which is a mainly live venue. It has been beautifully restored, though.

Thanks, Chris. I'll be sure to ask my kinfolk in Hawaii about that theatre.

Okay folks. During my whirlwind 4 days in Oahu (including the history making, record breaking Pro Bowl! WHAT A GAME!!!) I only made it to the theatre once: Signature Theatres Pearl Islands 12 (don't quite recall the city we were in). Nothing to write home about. 11 Stadiums-In-A-Box and 1 really big Stadium.

When we went to Waikiki, we passed the Ward Stadium 16. When we go back to Oahu, I'M GOING THERE FIRST!!! The exterior is awesome and majestic. Hopefully the interior is the same!
