during the winter some british trade paper said that an 35-screen complex will be built in Lisbon, Portagal (I think they have an AMC mosterplex)

I met the tech who ran the 30 screen in Adelaide, Australia (The Marion Complex.) They ride around in golf buggies when moving prints, which would be a real eye opener.

I knew it has downsized in the past year. I think it may now be an 18 or 22? [Shrug]

If it came down to the most screens within a less tahn 10 mile radius, it would definitely be the Rancho Cucamonga-Ontario-Fontana Region. With over 90 screens within the area (in order of opening, currnet theatres only):

Ultra Star Terra Vista 6 (Former Edwards closed when Palace opened, reopened under Ultra Star)
Ultra Star Fontana 8 (Same as above)
AMC Ontario Mills - 30 screens
Edwards Ontario Palace - 22 (across the street from the Mills 30)
Edwards Mountain View - 14
AMC Victoria Gardens - 12 (opens next month)

I do believe that one of the 30 screen AMCs can take that award. I've personaly been to one, and it makes the largest theater in BR, Rave 16, look like an ant!
