Not having any problems with the server or the mailbox, so it's likely a DNS problem with Dave's ISP.

Quite late to the scene but, FWIW, my MX servers never return that status code for cinematour.com addresses. It was most likely caused by a typo of the cinematour.com domain name (or your ISP's MTA's DNS server was severely borked). I know for sure that the cinematour.com DNS servers and MXes had zero downtime in July.
