While the forum is in beta testing, please post comments in this thread.

After making a post, you will be directed to a screen that says "Sit tight ..." This screen will not redirect you back to the page where you made your post. Please click the link until Daryl fixes the glitch.

Why does the Cinematour forums run so much faster on one of my Windows servers than the Film-Tech forums runs on one of my UNIX servers???

Enquiring minds want to know! [Eek!]

Maybe because there's not 1400 of us here yet?

Probably because I haven't had enough time to totally mess it up yet.

Adam, I forgot that you should call the forums with this link:

http://www.cinematour.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=firstaccess

It'll fix the problem with the folders turning on when you first visit even if nothing is new.

Thanks, Brad. It does have that "new forum" smell, doesn't it?

It is kinda quiet... what's that smell?

And what's with Brad posting broken image links?

Does anyone else have this problem? The little folders that are supposed to be yellow if there is a new post since the last time I visited and white if there is nothing new are not working. Sometimes they are yellow and sometimes they are white, but so far it has had nothing to do with whether or not there is a new post in that section.

I'm going to bet that you are accessing the site through the original link that I should've never used (because of the problem you described). Accessing the forum through the link provided in the Cinematour menu should result in accurate 'new post icons'. If it does not, let me know here.

Thanks!

Oooo, looks like Daryl has decided that right now is the perfect time to move the forum to its permanent home. [Smile]

(And, yes, I'm still up at 3:36 am)

NOW is always a good time.

I wondered what you were doing up at 6:36am.
The real question is why am I still up.

I just finished watching Sweet November after I got home from work. I don't have to be to work again until 4pm. What's your excuse?
