Hi everyone,
I'm a new member based in Melbourne Australia. For the last couple of years I have been researching Australian cinemas that were operated specifically for Greek and Italian migrants after WW2.
I was hoping to hear from other members who may know about cinemas in their local area that similarly screened movies to Greek and Italian migrant communities.
Although I'm working on the post-war period I'd be pleased to learn about cinemas from other eras. And although I'm especially interested in cinemas located in South Africa, USA, Canada and New Zealand I would be fascinated to know about other places where these screenings took place also.
I'm happy to share the information I have gleaned about the large and successful Australian Greek/Italian film circuits with anyone who may be interested.
Cheers
Deb
