Looks like the Berkshire Music Hall in Pittsfield Mass is closed. Does anyone know the details?

I saw a couple kids' matinees there, when it was known as the Paris Theatre(early 80's). Years later, I also attended a play, after it had been taken over by the Berkshire Public Theatre.

While I know there was a renovation effort begun a year or so ago, I wasn't aware the venue had ever been reopened since it's mid 90's closing. I also seem to recall the property changing ownership a couple times over the past few years and there being some "red tape" issues with the remodel plans, so that might explain why it remains closed.

There were shows at the Berkshire Music Hall the past two years after extensive renovations. However, last summer it was sold to the Barrington Stage Company. They closed it as of November 1, 2005 for even more renovations. it is scheduled to reopen in August of 2006.

At least the building is still there. In some towns, they've demolished buildings such as those. Driving by, you'd be hard pressed to realize it used to be a theatre.
