Anyone familiar with the Groton Cinema, UA's D-150 house in Groton, CT? When did this place open, and what was the debut attraction?

It looks like a cinema from the early 70's. It is now carved up into 6 theatres and run by Entertainment Cinemas.

The UA Groton D-150 Theatre opened around July of 1967.

What's your source? I would've thought it opened earlier than that. Late '66/early '67 maybe?

That article doesn't indicate the place opened in July; that July date was simply the publishing date of the magazine in which the article appeared. Considering the typical lead time involved in the publishing industry back then, I bet the place opened earlier than July '67.
