The Twilight Drive-in in Langley BC opened September 1st. It is about 15 minutes further up the valley from the old Hillcrest DI location.

Who would have thought it would take almost 2 years for this drive-in to open. Congrats to Jay Daulat for hanging in there and making it happen. [thumbs up] I won't be up there until 10/28/05 but will have a trip report after that.

A perfect weekend at the drive-in, no rain and clear skies. The Twilight is an excellent drive-in. A few landscaping details left to finish but they are off to a great start. Plenty of room, no long lines in the snack bar. Little ambient light, almost too dark for me. Sharp picture & sound. The food is great and reasonable prices. It's too bad the Aldergrove border crossing closes at midnight, I'll have to spend the night here to see the whole program, 3 movies on Fri-Sat. Jay has jumped thru alot of hoops dealing with the city, but he's making the most of it. The sequel to 'Air Bud' was filmed here last month, with some prominent scenes in the snack bar. I'm not sure if it will be a theatrical or video release. It's called 'Air Buddies'
and coming out next year.

If you are heading, for example, to Bellingham, going back to the truck crossing (aka Douglas crossing) should add no more than 15 minutes to your journey, particularly in the early morning hours.
