Roger & Scott: Great parting shots of the Elm. Did this theatre have a balcony? In the shot of two auditoriums, the right screen is higher than the left. Is this something that happened when the theatre was twined or something to do with the demolishion?

I had no idea that the theatre was on the closing block until I saw the pictures Roger posted. Had I known that I would have made my reluctant friend wait longer while I asked for a tour while it was in operation.

Can somebody please win me a lottery so I can do Cinematour full time? [Frown]

See if you can get some interior shots of the GC Akers Mill cinema in Atlanta. I was able to get a few of the exterior during a journey to Jawja this past spring (they are posted at http://www.flickr.com/photos/maincourse), but couldn't get in.

I am hoping to do a good tour of Georgia -- but alas the summer sun is waning and soon I'll be left with little daylight to plan Cinematour trips around. Not to mention little money.

I'm gonna go see if I won the Powerball. [Smile]

Do you know if there are any photos, here on cinematour or else where, of the circa 1967-1970 GC "buterfly twins"? There were at least 3 in the Houston, TX area including the Meyerland, Gulf Gate Mall, and Northpoint Mall.
