It's made a bit more progress since then. Century still hasn't given an opening date for the new place.

If it goes up at the rate our Century 20 went up last year, "King Kong" should be about right.

Maybe even Harry Potter.

I hope they find someone who knows the difference between the focus and framing knob at this location. I've had nothing but bad experiences at their Orange location.

Oh yes, the only 2 times I ever went to their location at Orange (once during Good Will Hunting, the other "recently" for Episode 1) and both times they were out of Focus.

It's rare that I have those kinda problems there. Then again...as soon as the sound/picture goes awry, I walk to the manager's booth in the front and I snitch!

Just came back from snooping around the area where it's being built. There is far more progress going on than the picture that Ron posted. Looks like the place will be done in another 2-3 months or so. My money's on a November opening.

I did a Google search for information on a potential opening date for this theatre since Century's website has not listed one as of yet. The best that I could find is at some independent Huntington Beach news website. They claim November 15 as opening day. My fingers are crossed!

Right now all the signs point toward a November 18th opening with grand opening charity events going on the 16th and 17th.

Regal/Edwards Charter Centre 5 in Huntington Beach and Regal/Edwards Westminster 10 in Westminster. The former will fall immediately. The latter will fall in a couple of years.

Century has just placed a "Now Hiring" notice for this theatre on their homepage. Still no official opening date, though. They'll probably open the same day that the new Harry Potter movie opens so they can put it on 8 out of the 20 screens.

Just confirmed what Scott told us. Opening date November 18th. I guess that means I'll have to see Harry Potter IMAX over the Thanksgiving Holiday.
