It looks like this theatre is going to be redone. Carol Burnett received a door during a ceremony at the Pacific Hollywood Theatre, where she worked in the early '50s. She was fired from the theatre after she refused to allow a couple into the theatre while a movie was playing. In the Entertainment Tonight video there is a great shot of the door and what the split up auditorium looks like today, which is pretty bad compared to the ornate hallway.

I believe they're turning it into a live performance theatre rather than a movie theatre. I read that info here, I think.
